Made of two companies, Perry-Spencer Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc. and Perry-Spencer Communications, Inc., the product and service offerings have made a significant social and economic impact on our communities throughout Spencer, Perry and Dubois counties. PSC is committed to supporting community events and activities. Through that support and our product and service offerings, PSC continues to work for the betterment of the communities we serve.

In 2005 Perry-Spencer RTC and its subsidiary Perry-Spencer Communications, Inc. adopted a new logo and name to help our customers identify all our product offerings under one identity…PSC. All products, telephone, long distance, internet and television now have a common name and a common mission:

"Providing members/customers with responsive, high quality communications services,
honestly, ethically, professionally and with integrity".

Today PSC provides telecommunications services to more than 10,000 members and customers in parts of Perry, Spencer, Dubois, Pike, Warrick and Crawford counties in southern Indiana.

Community Involvement

In addition to providing quality and affordably priced telecommunications services to members and customers, PSC is a local company. We’re right here in your community and staffed by knowledgeable professionals…people you know and trust. PSC and its employees offer support to the community in a variety of ways. Many or our employees are actively involved in their own communities through their church, schools, athletics, youth groups and civic organizations.

PSC Company Information

Perry-Spencer Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc. is a member owned company (cooperative) which was founded in 1953 for the purpose of providing telephone service to rural areas in Perry, Spencer, Dubois, Pike, Warrick, and Crawford counties. The scope of services since that time has expanded to include many types of telecommunications services but remains primarily telecommunications related. In addition to striving to provide the most modern services at affordable rates, PSC is committed to assist in rural development in the counties it serves.

The cooperative currently has a staff of forty-six full time employees and is governed by the seven member Board of Directors. PSC has staff actively participating in the telecommunications industry by holding officer positions on local, state and national association boards.

Coverage Area

The Cooperative serves an area of 569 square miles in Perry, Spencer, Dubois, Pike, Warrick, and Crawford counties with over 6,500 access lines in service.

Network Facilities

State-of-the-art digital switching equipment is housed in four central offices and many remote facilities located throughout the service territory. The central offices and many of the remote facilities are linked together with fiber optic cable over a Synchronous Optical Network (SONET). Over 275 miles of fiber cable is deployed in the Outside Plant, as well as over 1,650 miles of copper cable.

Board of Directors
The Cooperative is made up of a governing body elected by its members annually (annual membership meeting is always the second Thursday in July) for three year terms. It is set up so that no more than three of the seven-member board are up for election each year. Click on any name to see a short bio of each Board Member.
