Sim Ringing

It’s important for people to be able to reach you!

But do you want to give out all of the numbers where you might be? Simultaneous Ringing, the newest feature from PSC, is the solution many customers have been waiting for. SimRing allows customers to program up to four additional phone numbers that ring simultaneously when the primary phone number is called.

Business advantages are obvious as clients who call your office could be connected to you directly via your cell phone.

The residential applications are great also. One example: the kids need to be picked up after an event, but the times aren’t concrete. Instead of waiting by the phone, you are free to run your errands. Program the phone to your cell phone number, grandma’s house etc. Now when the kids call home, they’ll get you… no matter where you are. Now that’s peace of mind.

How to use:

When the service is activated, the first line to be answered, either live or by voice mail takes the call.  If one line is busy, the others will still ring.

To Access Sim Ringing

  1. handset icon Lift the Handset and wait for dial tone
     
  2. Star icon Five icon Five Icon Press *55
     
  3. handset icon A Sim Ring Announcement will tell you that your Simultaneous Ringing Service is either on or off and then will allow you to activate or deactivate Sim Ring and add or delete phone numbers from your list.

To Activate or Deactivate

  1. Access Sim Ring as above
     
  2. Three Icon Press 3 to change from inactive to active, or from active to inactive.  Deactivating Sim Ring will not erase the phone numbers in your Sim Ring list of phone numbers.

To add a phone number to your Sim Ringing list (up to 4 additional numbers)

  1. Access Sim Ring as above
     
  2. Press pound icon enter phone number Sample Phone Number then pound icon again.
     
  3. You must enter the phone number exactly as you would call it.  A long distance number must be enter as 1-812-555-1234

To hear the numbers on your list

  1. Access Sim Ring as above 
     
  2. One Icon Press 1 and the number(s) will be spoken to you

To delete a number on your list

  1. Star Icon Press * during the silent period after the number is spoken
