How does PSCtv differ from Cable, Dish or Direct TV?
PSCtv packages are similar to those offered by other video providers, both in terms of line-up and package pricing.   • Video signals are delivered via PSC’s fiber optic network.

What equipment will I need to purchase?
Video service requires at least one set-top converter box. (NOTE: Customers may have up to EIGHT set-top boxes (STB)) First three STBs are installed FREE- additional STB’s are installed for $49 each. Monthly subscription is 4.95/STB after the first STB.

Will I be required to pay a deposit?

A credit check will be run on new customers. Depending on the information in the credit check, a deposit could be required.

Will I be required to sign a service agreement?
Yes, an 18 month contract is required on PSCtv.

Will there be discounts for me if I already have Internet?
PSC offers bundled packages for subscribers that subscribe to more than one service, including PSCtv, Internet and phone service.

Will video service be billed on a separate bill?

No, all services will be billed on one PSC bill.

Can I use my existing cable?
PSC technicians will evaluate your home, but in most cases we will run new Cat5e wiring through out your house to get you the best quality TV service.

Is PSCtv High Definition?
Currently, we are offering standard definition. High Definition will be available soon.

Can I use my VCR the same way I currently do?
Watching movies will work the same, but initially you will not be able to record a station while watching a different station through the same STB. PSCtv plans to have enhanced services in the near future.

Does PSCtv offer PVR? (sometimes called DVR)

PVR is available. This allows subscribers to record different channels and preset to record at all times.

Will there be a cost to PVR?
Yes. The PVR service is $7.95 per month.

How does PSC's Video On Demand (VOD) work.
Subscribers can purchase videos in real time over PSCtv.

Is VOD the same as PPV?
With PPV, subscribers cannot choose the time to watch paid events or movies. Subscribers must be at their TV at the time the PPV is showing. With VOD, movies are shown (on demand) meaning at the time the viewer wants to watch it.

How do I block channels or programming that I don't want my family to have?
You can completely block specific channels and restrict viewing by program rating through PSCtv Parental Control features; you will have the most advanced, highly-secure parental controls available. The PSCtv User Guides offers the information you need for Parental Control!
