These checklists are designed to lead you step-by-step through the troubleshooting process. It is VERY important that you do not skip previous sections or skip over steps without completing.

Check modem login
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click on File, then Open
3. Enter the address http://192.168.0.1 and click OK. This should display the Megabit Modem Configuration window.4. Click the Connect buttonIf you don't see the Megabit Modem Configuration window, go to the section Renew IP Address 5. You should see a message that you are now connected to the Internet and need to restart your computer. It is not necessary to restart.If you see a window asking you to Retry or Cancel, click Retry. If it appears again, click Cancel 6. Click the Home button on Internet Explorer or try to access another web page. If you can access the page(s), you are connected.If you do not see the message that you are connected, go to Renew IP Address If you are still unable to view web pages, go to Renew IP Address. If you are still unable to view web pages, contact PSC Technical Support for further assistance.
Renew IP Address
Windows XP1. Click START, then RUN
2. In the OPEN: window, type: cmd and click OK
3. At the prompt, type: ipconfig /release and press ENTER
4. At the prompt, type: ipconfig /renew and press ENTER
5. At the prompt, type: ipconfig and press ENTER
Windows Me, 98If the IP address is 192.168.0.1, type exit and press ENTER to close the Command window. Return to Check Modem Login. If the IP address is not 192.168.0.1, type exit and press ENTER to close the Command window. Restart the modem and the computer, and return to Check Modem Login. If you are still unable to connect or renew the IP address, goto Hard Code IP Address 1. Click Start, then click on Run
2. In the OPEN: window, type: winipcfg and click OK
3. In the IP Configuration window, select the Ethernet adapter.
4. Click RELEASE, then RENEWIf the IP address is 192.168.0.1, restart the modem and return to Check Modem Login. If the IP address is 192.168.0.1, and return to Check Modem Login. If the IP address is not 192.168.0.1, restart the modem and the computer, then return to Check Modem Login. If you are still unable to connect or renew the IP address, go to Hard Code IP Address
Hard Code IP Address
Windows XP1. Click on Start, then click on Run
2. In the Run window, type: ncpa.cpl then click OK. This will open the Network Connections window.
3. Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon, then left-click Properties.
4. In the list of Network items, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then click the Properties button.
5. Select the option "Use the following IP address".
6. Select the option "Use the following DNS server addresses:"In IP Address, enter: 192.168.0.100 In the Subnet Mask, enter: 255.255.255.0 In the Gateway, enter: 192.168.0.1 7. Click OK for both windows and close the Network Connections window.In the Preferred DNS server: enter: 219.49.96.1 In the Alternate DNS server: enter: 219.49.96.2
8. Restart the computer and the modem.
9. Return to Check Modem Login.If you are still unable to connect, contact PSC Technical Support for further assistance.
Windows Me, 98
1. Click Start, go to Settings, click on Control Panel
2. Double-click the Network icon.
3. In the list of Installed Network Components, click on [network card]->TCP/IP to highlight.
4. Click the Properties button.
5. On the IP Address Tab:
6. Click on the Gateway tab at the top of the window.In IP Address: enter 192.168.0.100 In Subnet Mask: enter 255.255.255.0 7. Click the DNS Configuration tab at the top of the window.Enter the address 192.168.0.1 Click ADD 8. Click OKSelect Enable DNS In Host: enter your PSC username username. In Domain: enter psci.net In DNS Server Search Order, enter 219.49.96.1 Click ADD Enter 219.49.96.2 Click ADD
9. Click OK for the Network window.
10. When the computer asks if you want to restart, click YES.
11. Return to Check Modem Login.If you are still unable to connect, contact PSC Technical Support for further assistance.
