1. You may not have a ISurfSafe Master Account set up. When you order ISurfSafe filter, a Master Account is not automatically set up for you. If you find later that you need to bypass ISS or set up individual ISS passwords, you can request a Master Password by calling PSC Technical Support (1-800-511-4899).Websites are blocked by ISurfSafe2. Invalid username/password for Master Account. The ISS Master Account username and password are not the same login as you use for your PSC Internet connection or email loging unless you have purposely asked that we use the same username and/or password. If you don't remember your username or password, you can contact PSC Technical Support. We can't view the password, but can reset the password to a new one.
The ISurfSafe system works from a database. When you connect to the Internet, each request for a page is first sent to the database, which checks to see if the site is listed in one of the block categories. If not, the request is allowed to continue and you can view the page. If the site is listed on the ISurfSafe database, your request is re-directed to an "Access Denied" page.Do not see the red "X-Stop" window after logging into ISS Master Account or ProfileThe web sites in the database are listed in various categories. These categories are updated daily to keep up with new and changing web sites.
Internet Explorer's Pop-up blocker or another pop-up blocker program may be blocking the X-Stop window.See Also:When you see the prompt to continue accessing your site, see if there is an information bar at the top of the Internet Explorer page. If so, right-click on the information bar, then left-click on "Allow popups from this site". When you see the prompt to allow popups from "216.49.101.71", click YES. You may need to refresh the page, or go back and log back into your Master Account or Profile before the X-Stop window appears.
An alternate method for Internet Explorer popup blocker: At the top of the Internet Explorer window, click on Tools, go to Popup Blocker, then click on Popup Blocker Settings. In the field "Address of web site to allow", type: 216.49.101.71 and click the Add button. Click the Close button to close the settings window.
If you are using another popup blocker program, open the programs settings and add the site http://216.49.101.71 to the list of websites to allow popups.
